It's been a while since I've posted... Things I guess have been going good, and I've been keeping myself busy with things. So the Powered by G3RM company is coming along slowly. I have one customer who is in Hyrum, and I've been helping them quite a bit. I'm ordering a part for one of their computers so that I can install that for them, and then I will finally be done helping them. I might have to put fliers through town, cause when u post on Craigslist, you just get a lot of spam.
I'm also back at Bridgerland. I've been going there for some time now; now taking a Microsoft Certification class, that is do at your own pace (which I don't really prefer, cause then I never get it done). But today I did register for an acutal class that starts on Monday. It's Networking, and will help prepare me to take the Network+ Exam. It will be Mon-Thurs 6pm-9pm, and I'm glad it's an actual lecture class then the do at your own pace ones. So I'm excited for that.
So when Michael Jackson passed away, I went to the local gamestore that sells older video games, and was able to find a game called "Michael Jackson's Moonwalker". It was only for the Sega Genesis, and the store had it for $20. I bought it, and ended up selling it on eBay for $102. Horray for me! Still waiting on the payment, so hopefully they will send it soon.
So I was at D.I. a couple weeks ago, and bought 2 old computers for only $8 for both. One is a Pentium II, which was back in the mid 90's, and the other is actually from around 2001. I'm trying to make the Pentium II one into a Seedbox. What a seedbox is, is it's a server that stores all my downloads, and makes downloading faster, and also increases the uploading speed. I've been having some issues with Linux and trying to get it to work. Since it's an older machine, it can't handle regular Linux Distros, so I need to use smaller versions. So far I've tried: Fluxbuntu, Arch Linux, DSL (Damn Small Linux), and Debian, but they are all just being a pain to install. So I actually downloaded some other ones that I'm going to be trying in just a bit. Those ones are: U-Lite (Ubuntu Lite), Slack Linux, freeBSD, and Knoppix.
So that's what's been going on these days.
